Time-Lapse Pen and Ink Illustration - "Super Glow"
This drawing started out as the circle at the center of the flower near the middle. After adding other semi-circles around it, I realized it looked like a rose. You can watch the drawing progress from there through this time-lapse capture below. The drawing was completed over the course of 4 days, with as little as a half hour of work being added in between two longer drawing sessions. A Pink Lady apple appears near the beginning of the clip, shrinks as I eat it, browns slightly, then gets thrown away. I also had a bit of fun creating a stop motion effect with my unused pens on top of the drawing. This was initially an effort to focus the camera on the plane of the drawing before turning auto-focus off to save battery life. This drawing represents a stream of consciousness flow of ideas which was created as time passed to allow the viewer an insight into my method of drawing.
